Married with Brothers

America has always been an amazing 'melting pot' for good people from around the globe, and back in 1922 it gave Buster Keaton material for one of his hilarious comedies. Buster is standing in front of a building where a Polish justice of the peace has his court, and when the window is broken he is afraid he will be accused of breaking it so he takes off in a quick run. Around the corner he falls for a large Irish woman who intends to take him to the Polish Justice of the Peace and turn him in as the rogue who broke the window. Unfortunately the Polish man is waiting for a young couple wanting to get married, and thinks that the woman with Buster Keaton is that couple. Quicker than you can say 'popcorn' they are officially married, and Kate drags her new husband back home with her to meet the family. 'The family' is four big brutes that are her brothers, and her Irish father, who all set about making fun of and abusing the wimpy new husband. But a piece of paper falls out of Buster's pants and it says that a wealthy relative has died and there is a fortune to collect, so now the brothers and Kate the wife decide that they need to suck-up to Buster so he will share his fortune with them. After 25 minutes of rousing comedy Buster finally decides to take the fast train to Reno for a marriage ending divorce. Pop a little bowl of white kernel popcorn with warm melted butter on it and enjoy the show.
