The Canadian Mountie and the Outlaw Brother and Sister

Today we travel to the Northwestern part of the Canadian wilderness, where rugged men and women live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, but also one of the most demanding parts of the world. Even summer days are cold and unforgiving, but for the right kind of person, it can be heaven on earth.

The Canadian Northwestern Mounted Police roam this wilderness trying to maintain law and order, but for the most part, the fur trappers and trading post merchants are on their own. As our adventure opens, a Mountie is going to try to capture the La Farge gang, thanks to a tip from a Native American. A local trading post merchant has complained that the gang is regularly holding him up, and is also killing trappers and stealing their furs.

The Mountie that is sent to investigate is ambushed and murdered. The bad guys put the dead Mountie on his horse and put a note in his pocket warning that they will kill every Mountie that tries to capture them.

Young Mountie Burke, played by Kermit Maynard, is sent to investigate and capture the La Farge gang, but instead of riding into the area in his Mounted Police uniform, he and he partner go undercover, as fur trappers. They will soon be in the middle of something unusual that neither of them can really pinpoint. Nothing is as it seems, right up to the time when the faithful Mountie shoots and kills his partner. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
