Island Girl and the Angry Volcano

Johnny is a young man working on a large schooner that is sailing the South Seas with some wealthy adventurers. When they come upon a small island of South Sea villagers they are welcomed and given a feast that includes dancing by the native girls. As the schooner was approaching the island Johnny got caught in a rope while trying to catch a shark, and the young daughter of the Island King saved his life. When the schooner is ready to sail away and continue their South Seas voyage, Johnny decides to stay behind and let the schooner pick him up on their return voyage. This leads to that and Johnny falls in love with beautiful Luana, daughter of the King, and they eventually build a home on a nearby deserted island . . . . Johnny and Luana, alone together on an island paradise . . . . The dream of many a young man. As Johnny teaches Luana a bit of his language he tells her about civilization and how they can listen to music on a magical box called a radio, and when darkness falls they can press a button and fill the room with light. Luana's face gets serious and she tells Johnny that she can never go back with him because one day she is destined to be sacrificed to the angry volcano god. It isn't long before the volcano begins spewing thick smoke and molten lava, and when Johnny returns to his island home with a giant turtle for dinner he discovers that Luana has been taken away and will be tossed from the rim of the volcano into the fiery pit of molten lava. Johnny rushes after her and battles his way to where Luana is being prepared for sacrifice. Johnny is captured and tied up next to Luana, and it is decided that Johnny also must be sacrificed to the volcano god to save the island from destruction. As the jungle drums beat, Johnny and Luana are tied to long poles and the procession to the top of the volcano begins. Johnny's Island Paradise has suddenly ended and the end of his life in a fiery volcano is only minutes away. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
