Chase scenes are always a thrilling addition to any adventure movie, but they are usually car chases through the streets of a town or city. This action adventure movie is about Navy aircraft carrier pilots and of course the gangster is heading for Canada in a private plane with a kidnapped baby, and the Navy pilots give chase through the air until they can force the gangster to land. Our story begins aboard a Navy aircraft carrier in 1936 when two hot shot fliers get a telegram from shore announcing the birth of a baby boy. The father and his buddy are excited that it is a boy, and they vow to make him a Navy man when he grows up. Later when they get to the father's house, they discover that the mother has died. It turns out that the mother was from a wealthy family that doesn't like military men and they shunned the mother when she married the Navy pilot. But now the dead mother's sister, played by Claire Dodd, wants to take the baby boy and make sure that he never grows up with any desire for the military. Just to complicate things a bit, the new father gets hit by a car and as he is dying he makes his Navy buddy promise to take charge of his son and not let the rich family keep him. So three Navy fliers take the baby into hiding, and the rich sister-in-law, with the help of some detectives and her drop-dead-gorgeous girlfriend decide to use their feminine wiles on the Navy boys to get them to reveal where the baby is being held. Add a gangster who tries to kidnap his own son from a private hospital but his henchmen mistakenly grab the Navy boy instead and we have all the fixin's for an airplane action adventure that will keep you munching your white kernel popcorn with abandon until the bowl is empty.
