The Outlaw in Gunsmoke Canyon

As our adventure opens a young boy is waiting by the stage coach road and as he sees the stage coming he jumps to his feet and waves at the stage coach, which stops for him. The young boy is Artie, nephew of the owner of the Bar 20, where Hopalong Cassidy works. Artie starts to get into the stage but a Sheriff on horseback and several deputies are riding with the stage, and the Sheriff orders the boy not to get inside the coach. We notice that the coach windows are all covered and sealed as the young boy climbs up next to the stagecoach driver. The Sheriff warns the young boy that there is a dangerous outlaw inside the stagecoach who is being released from prison, and the young boy needs to stay safe by riding with the driver. Soon the stage coach stops at a spot between the Bar 20 ranch and Gunsmoke Canyon, where the outlaw is headed. Hopalong Cassidy, Lucky and Windy ride up as the Sheriff is telling the driver that the outlaw inside cannot get out here and go to Gunsmoke Canyon. The Sheriff tells the driver to keep the outlaw inside the coach until it reaches the Mexican border . . . . The outlaw is warned to head into Mexico and stay out of Arizona forever. About this time Hopalong is alongside the stagecoach and he unexpectedly pulls out his gun and aims it at the Sheriff. He tells Lucky to give his horse to the outlaw and instructs the outlaw to ride his horse fast and far to get away from the Sheriff. The outlaw steps out of the stagecoach and we discover that it is . . . . . A lady! The infamous Belle Starr is being released from prison and Hopalong Cassidy is helping her get away from the Sheriff! What in the world is going on here? Has Hopalong gone loco? What about the rumors that Belle Starr is in love with Hoppy? Hopalong Cassidy can handle cattle rustlers and bank robbers, but will he be able to handle one woman, the infamous Belle Starr? . . . . But wait . . . . Belle Starr is not alone on her ranch in Gunsmoke Canyon . . . . Belle Starr has a daughter Jacqueline . . . . . Two women between Hopalong Cassidy, the Sheriff, and yes, some scoundrel cattle rustlers. This time Hopalong Cassidy may be in over his head. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
