Russian Royalty and the Four Drummers of Death
The Royal Petroff family in Russia owns an African necklace that they stole from an African Queen. The necklace is composed of four wooden drummer figures, and each drummer figure is cursed. The legend is that if one of the drummers is detached from the necklace and given to anyone, that person will soon die a horrible death.
Doctor Boris Karlov finds the Petroff necklace at the death bed of his daughter, and he knows that one of the Petroff Princes is responsible for her death. He sends the first drummer to Grandfather Petroff, and he dies quickly. Years later the Petroff Uncle and two Petroff brothers are in Paris and they discover that the mad doctor is also in Paris and searching for them.
The Petroff brothers and Uncle quickly set sail for America to escape, but the mad doctor is there waiting for them. In New York City, the Petroff Uncle receives the second drummer and is soon dead. Now only two brothers remain alive, and the mad doctor always seems to be one step ahead of them. The U.S. Secret Service is trying to keep the two brothers alive while they hunt for the mad Russian killer, but it may take even more than that.
Fortunately a feisty old-maid aunt and her beautiful young daughter become involved with the Russian Princes, giving the last living Prince a chance to survive the candle burning at both ends. . . . What! . . . . You have never experienced the dreaded candle burning at both ends? Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
