The Devil's Playground and Man-Trap

Blonde and beautiful Mae Miller is married to a young doctor who she loved more than anything else in the world . . . . Except for one thing. Her society girlfriends had enough money for expensive clothing and expensive hobbies, but her husband the doctor was just beginning his career and they lived a frugal lifestyle.

As our adventure opens we see policemen on motorcycles and in police cars racing out of police headquarters with sirens blaring. They are on their way to a nightclub gambling joint with a brothel in the rooms behind the nightclub.

As the policemen are grabbing and handcuffing the surprised patrons they hear a gunshot. The gunshot came from a locked brothel room behind the nightclub and when a policeman breaks down the door with an axe they discover blonde and beautiful Mae Miller, the doctor’s wife, holding a smoking gun, and a man is lying dead on the floor.

Soon the District Attorney is questioning Mae in his office, trying to get her to confess. Molly Murdock is also in the room. We discover later that Molly Murdock is the Madame of the rooms behind the nightclub. Then Mae’s husband John enters the room and discovers that his wife is being accused of murder in a brothel.

Mae will not admit that she shot the man in the nightclub casino, but she does promise to tell the story of his death from the beginning. Mae says that she hopes her story will be an example to other young girls, and with that we flash back a few weeks and our lurid story of lust and love gone awry in 1936. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
