If you Can't Fight 'em, Join 'em
For this gangster adventure we join movie and television actor Lyle Talbot in Victoria, British Columbia with an all British-Canadian cast. Lyle Talbot is crack shot police officer who can knock over a tin can a hundred yards away . . . . But he is a coward when it comes to shooting at a fleeing gangster.
Escaped gangster Pete Brower is holding up the bank and when Officer Connors rushes out of the coffee shop and sees the gangster escaping in their getaway car he pulls his pistol out and aims at the car and… . Officer Connors watches as the car speeds away . . . . When the expert pistol marksman faced a real gangster he turned coward.
Because of his cowardice the gangsters will not only get away, but they will grab a little boy and then dump him out of their car onto the highway, and the little boy becomes blind from the fall. Filled with remorse and regrets, there is only one thing for Officer Tom Connors to do . . . . He will turn in his badge and become a man who cannot get work . . . . At least not honest work.
Tom Connors will change his name to Dynamite Hogan and do what his skills as a policeman make him best suited for. He will team up with another small-time criminal and become a jewel thief and burglar. Dynamite Hogan will find friends on the dark side of the street after his old friends in the Police Department let him know that he is not welcome in their world any longer.
What will his goody-goody girlfriend do when he goes rogue? Will the escaped gangster let him into the big gang or try to rub him out? Vengeance is a very big club, and sometimes it pounds the wrong people . . . . And sometimes it doesn’t. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
