Do Mounties Always Get Their Woman?

Sally Blane is Ann Fenwick, and we first meet her as she and two dangerous looking men are heading across the U.S. border into the wilderness of Canada. It seems that there was a bank holdup in the States and the bank robbers, including pretty young Sally Blane are on the lam in the Canadian woods. Mounties Renfrew (James Newill) and Kelly (Dave O'Brien) are mounted and riding through the woods when they come across a pretty young lady in a runaway house trailer. The chase is soon on as the gangsters foil the Mounties at every turn. It looks like the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will have their hands full on this adventure. And the head gangster? . . . you'll never believe who it is . . . . Do you remember kindly old Doc Adams on the long running television show Gunsmoke? Do you remember the young flyer Skeeter Mulligan from the Tailspin Tommy adventures? Yup, cast against type, the usually good guy side-kick is crime boss Cardigan in this one. Mounties Renfew and Kelly, with unusual zeal, are after the pretty lady who wandered into Canada . . . I guess there weren't many lovely lasses there in those pioneer days or something. Anyway, our two Mounties finally discover that the gal they are both trying to flirt with is a wanted bank robber and part of the notorious Cardigan gang. And they would have caught her early on if it wasn't for the happy, one sandwich short of a picnic funny man Benny Rubin, who plays the part of the trading post owner. There is enough light-hearted comedy from Benny Rubin to keep us from getting too worried about the bank robbers, and just enough drama and excitement to keep us happily munching our white kernel popcorn drizzled in warm melted butter until the final heartwarming scene.
