I Killed Your Brother . . . Will You Marry Me?

It is 1932 and the Great Depression is in full swing, and for most folk money is tough to come by. Jimmy Milligan, played by Lloyd Hughes, is trying to make a buck by boxing, and his promoter sets him up for a fight with another unknown boxer who turns out to be one of Jimmy's old Navy buddies with a heart problem. When Jimmy gives him a sock to the chest . . . a heart punch . . . the man goes down like a rock, dying a few minutes later in Jimmy's arms. The dying boxer's last words were a request for Jimmy to take his belongings to his kid sister Kitty. When Jimmy looks up Kitty she turns out to be one hot baby, and the sparks fly and soon they are going to be married. Unfortunately, just before the wedding Jimmy's old boxing manager stops by and Kitty discovers that Jimmy is the Cyclone Kid - the boxer who killed her brother. Well, Kitty wants no part of the man who killed her brother, so the wedding is off and she will have nothing to do with him. That might be the end of things except for Kitty's boss, a married man who has an eye for Kitty. Kitty is the cashier at his restaurant and one night after work he has her locked in his office and wants to make her 'his girl' . . . Kitty slaps the restaurant owner in disgust and they start yelling. The man's wife, waiting for him out in the restaurant hears the fighting and then a gunshot . . . by the time she breaks into the office we all see Kitty standing over the dying body of the boss with a smoking gun in her hand. How the tables have turned . . . now Kitty is a killer also. The plot twists come fast and furious from here on out and the ending is far from certain. Jimmy has one chance to help Kitty get out of jail and free from the murder charge, but it will probably mean his death. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter on it and enjoy the show.
