Secret Agents vs Enemy Spies

Seventy percent of our world is covered with water . . . eighty percent of the people in this world lives near that water, and ninety percent of the world's trade is moved across the water . . . and who guards the oceans and protects us on those waters? The Navy's of the free world. On June 5, 1794 the first officers of the U.S. Navy were appointed and they supervised the construction of the first U.S. Naval ships. Ever since that humble beginning the Navy has floated, fought and died to protect all of us land-lubbers. In 1937 when this movie was filmed the U.S. was not at war, but with war clouds rumbling across Europe our attention was being focused on our armed forces. This adventure is about a Navy man who creates a new and revolutionary fuel. The inventor is kidnapped by foreign spies who put him aboard a ship headed for a faraway country. They also kidnap his girlfriend who is a dancer at a nightclub. American spy Alan O'Connor, played by Conrad Nagel, is assigned to find the missing Navy man, and his girlfriend and co-spy Bobbie Reynolds, played by Eleanor Hunt, tags along even though Nagel tries to keep her away from the Navy men and this dangerous assignment. In a fast paced hour they track down the enemy spies and follow them aboard the getaway ship and with the help of a Navy war ship they release the captive Navy man and capture all of the enemy spies. This one will keep you entertained as you munch your white kernel popcorn with warm melted butter on it and you will soon wonder where the hour went.
