Sabotage in the Middle East

Norwegian actress Greta Gynt is an exotic dancer in Bagdad who is mixed up with enemy saboteurs planning to destroy the Middle East pipeline that carries most of the oil needed to supply Britain with its petrol. During one of her performances two spies will order certain items from the menu as a signal, and a girl will give those two men a gramophone record of Greta's song . . . . In the middle of her song on the record there are instructions to the enemy saboteurs for destroying the vital pipeline. All goes well as two gentlemen arrive and order the exact items that will identify them as the enemy saboteurs . . . except that these two men are Britons on a holiday tour of the Middle East and when they get the record and the enemy discovers that they are the wrong men, they become targets for murder as the enemy spies follow them and try to recover the secret gramophone record. In Istanbul they are lured to what they believe is a hotel, but is actually a private villa owned by Agent K-7, the head of the enemy agents. They are given rooms that have a door marked as the bathroom, but it actually leads to a pit that will drop them into the Bosporous straight and drown them, leaving no trace of their identity. As one of the fellows is preparing for a bath, the other answers the phone and hears a strange female voice warning him to leave the hotel at once because his life is in danger. The fellow hangs up the phone and goes to his buddy who has opened the bathroom door and is about to step into the abyss . . . and when he is tapped on the shoulder by the partner who wants to tell him about the strange phone call he drops silently into the abyss and into the cold, dark death below. So begins our spy adventure that will take us from Bagdad to Istanbul, to Budapest, Belgrade and finally to an ancient castle high on a hill as the enemy spies chase after the secret gramophone record album. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
