The Magic in the Moonrise . . .

Do you believe that if your mother or father cannot control their booze, the same fate will certainly fall on you? If your father or mother was terribly overweight will you also be overweight? If your father or mother was a killer will you become one also?

I believe that whichever way I answer those questions, . . . . I will be correct? My thoughts and beliefs will create my future as certain as the moon rises in the night. If I often think that I will inherit the worst faults of my parents, . . . I will. If I often think that I will only inherit and improve on the best qualities of my parents, and the people around me, I will.

In this film noir killer thriller, the opening scene is of a man being hung because he murdered the doctor that gave his wife a bottle of pills that killed her instead of curing her. Baby Danny, with a dead mother and a father hung for her murder, was taunted all his life by the other children about his father being hung for murder. Because of these thoughts always being at the front of his thoughts, many deep, dark, dangerous emotions filled the angry head of Danny Hawkins.

When the son of the town banker is found murdered, suspicion falls fast and furious on Danny. Everyone in town knows that the banker’s son taunted Danny mercilessly when they were young. Of course, Danny finally got his revenge by killing the banker’s son. But Danny is innocent. Can an innocent boy without friends in an unfriendly town find a way to prove his innocence, or will Danny move to the dark side and become the killer that everyone thinks he is, . . . Just like his father. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn drizzled with plenty of warm melted butter and enjoy the show.
