Simon Says: Blind Man's Bluff

From dust we are, and to dust we return . . . . When a man dies and turns to dust, can he return to haunt the living? Can a dead man cause more trouble than when he was alive? Robert Rawley is a wealthy British industrialist who lost his son Simon in the war. You need to know that wealthy Robert is blind as a bat, but the powerful businessman has taken charge of his blindness and gets around as well as those around him with perfect sight . . . . Maybe even better. Now I must tell you about Robert's son Simon, his only son, his heir . . . . Robert's dead war hero son Simon. Robert has built a cricket pavilion for the small country town he lives in, and will dedicate it to his dead war hero son Simon in a day or two. Son Simon was married to a beautiful blonde who has just arrived . . . . in the automobile of a handsome young man . . . . The man driving Simon's Widow Angela is the nephew of Lord Clandon . . . and we quickly see that the two are in love. So we have blind Robert, war hero dead son Simon, Simon's Widow Angela, and her new love Maxwell. I want desperately to take you further down the path of this family soap-opera drama-adventure but I cannot, for fear that I might say too much . . . . There are surprises ahead that I do not want to warn you about . . . . I cannot tell you about the killer . . . . I will not tell you about the husbands-in-law . . . I cannot tell you about the terrible secret that everyone is trying to keep from blind Robert . . . I cannot tell you about Lord Clandon's warning that the police will arrive in ten minutes . . . . From dust we are, and to dust we shall surely return . . . . Silent Dust . . . . Would I be too cheeky if I added: There are none so blind as those who will not see? . . . . Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
