I'll Get Rid of Her . . . . Somehow . . .

Jim Harding is a chemist who is selling miracle cure syrup for baldness and anything else that ails you. He and his buddy Jerry have rented a booth at the famous Blackpool amusement park. Next to his booth a beautiful young girl sells caramel apples and other tasty treats, and they fall in love nearly at first sight. Their souls seem to be meant for each other, and there is only one teeny, weeny problem. . . . . Jim has a wife . . . . A witchy, hard-hearted gal who will do anything to become a star on the stage, including throwing herself at a theatre producer. So both Jim and his wife Diana have other people to love, and Jim badly wants a divorce so he can claim beautiful Jeannie for his own, forever. Unfortunately his wife Diana will not give him a divorce, so he has only one choice . . . . Kill her . . . . He fills three of her diet pill capsules with enough powder to kill her quickly while she is away for the weekend with her producer. Unfortunately, her producer skips out of town before she can get to the train, and she returns to her apartment. When Jim gets home he discovers her dead body on the bed, just as there is a knock at the door from a Constable . . . . This leads to that and Jim gets rid of the Constable and the neighbor without them discovering the dead body of his wife in the bedroom. In a frenzied panic he takes her body to his workshop and removes a large stone from the floor and digs a hole and buries her in the hole, replacing the stone on the floor and moving a large crate over the spot. Now he is free to wed his sweetheart, but he will be a hunted killer . . . . . Sheesh . . . . . Love can be very complicated and messy . . . . So now, I’m going to give you a spoiler alert . . . . Quit reading right now if you don’t want to know the ending . . . . . Yeah, like that’s gonna happen . . . . . So if you are still here, know that all is well during the final scene, with Jim and his sweetheart from Blackpool clutching each other with love and relief . . . But how in the world will that ever happen? Mystery of mysteries . . . . This one is a dilly . . . . . Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
