The Fat Butcher Pirate, The Lovely Lady, and the Lord's son

As our pirate adventure opens, Captain Kidd and four of his pirate crew watch as a ship of Lord Blayne burns and sinks to the bottom of the sea. Then the pirates dig a deep hole inside a cave and bury a large chest of treasure, promising to return at a later date to split the bounty. But before the men leave the cave, Captain Kidd, played by Charles Laughton, shoots and kills one of the men and bury him along with the treasure.

Captain Kidd is determined to kill all of the men who know where the buried treasure is, but it will take him some time to get the job done. In the meantime, the murdering pirate captain is hired by King William III to escort a ship through pirate waters, and one of the sailors that Captain Kidd hires to help on the voyage is the son of Lord Blayne, who has become a pirate himself, while searching for the blaggard who killed his father and sunk his father’s ship.

Now Captain Kidd’s mission is to kill the pirate played by Randolph Scott, in addition to the other pirates who know where the buried treasure is. Death and deceit await all who sail under the flag of the skull and crossed bones with the notorious Captain Kidd. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
