Mafia of the Mountain vs Mafia of the Valley

In the wild wilderness of the Americas there are cowboy stories about good guys and bad guys battling each other for survival, while in Sicily, Italy the battles are different, but just as gripping . . . . The struggles are real, and really dangerous, as our hero Eduardo, played by Rossano Brazzi, tries to farm the lands of Baron Occhipinti, while Don Turi Pandolfini and his men rule the valley with the barrel of a gun and the ruthlessness of cold blooded killers. Don Turi Pandolfini wants to possess the vast valley farm lands of the Baron and his family, who have owned the land for hundreds of years. The Mafia of the valley will ruin crops and kill any of the farmers on the land who are successful at farming the land, so that the Baron will be forced to give the Mafia his lands at no cost. As our story opens Eduardo is a young boy and his father and mother are killed by the young mafia boss Don Turi, despite the protection of Don Sparaino, the Mafia boss of the mountain. When his parents are killed, Don Sparaino, boss of the mountain, sends the young boy to South America to grow up where the Mafia of the valley cannot reach him. As an adult Eduardo returns to his home town in Sicily and decides to claim his parents' land and try to become a peaceful and successful farmer. Eduardo even renews his love for his childhood sweetheart Stellina, who loves him as well. But Don Turi, Mafia boss of the valley wants to get rid of Eduardo, and also force Stellina to marry him. At first Stellina refuses to marry him, but when Don Turi Pandolfini and his men go after Eduardo to kill him, she agrees to marry the Mafia boss if he agrees to spare Eduardo's life. The evening of the wedding has come, and Eduardo visits the home where the wedding will take place, and it is time for Eduardo and Don Turi Pandolfini to come face-to-face . . . . Eduardo enters the courtyard where Don Turi Pandolfini and all of his men are gathered for the wedding with the lovely Stellina . . . . Before the evening is over, only one of the men will walk away . . . . Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
