The Buxom Blonde Alibi

So, you are the ruggedly handsome editor of a London publication and your wife is a beautiful piece of arm-candy that any man would give his soul to be next to. But is Paul Pearson, played by Patrick Holt, happy to stay home with is wife? No, of course not. He has chased and won the affections of blonde beauty Diana, played by Naomi Chance.

For three years he pretends to play poker with his good war-buddy, but actually zips over to Diana’s place to play bedroom games with her. His buddy gives him a perfect alibi for his time with another woman. But all good things must come to an end, and it is time for Paul to quit seeing this mistress.

During his regular tryst with his mistress, Paul tells her that he thinks they should stop seeing each other. He makes Diana promise never to breathe a word of their relationship to anyone, . . . not even the cops. With that understanding, he then spends the next several hours with Diana saying ‘good-bye’ - what a gentleman!

Unfortunately, while he is diddling with Diana, his buddy, . . . his alibi, . . . gets killed. Paul finishes with his mistress and goes home fat and happy, . . .  and clueless as to what is about to happen. When his buddy dies from the knife wound from a knife that Paul gave him earlier in the evening, Paul is the first and only suspect.

Will the mistress that he just dumped tell the police that he was really with her the night of the murder? Papa used to tell me that it is foolish to go out and chase gingham when you have silk waiting for you at home. Papa was right. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
