Kiss the Girls and Make them Shoot

In 1957 the Hollywood studio system was breaking down and independent producers started making motion pictures without the help or clout of the big studios, using mostly unknown wanna-be actors . . . Suddenly anyone could make a movie . . . . And anyone did make a movie . . . and this is it! This story was never in danger of getting any of the actors invited to the Academy Awards presentation, and if you are the kind of movie fan who likes to find every faux pas and less-than-perfect item in a motion picture, you will be kept very busy during this movie. If you are the kind of old movie fan that enjoys jumping into the Hollywood time machine and watch life from a different age, you are in for a treat. You will see gorgeous cars with beautiful chassis from 1957 that will make you drool . . . and you will see gorgeous girls with beautiful . . . . smiles . . . and things . . . Girls like Jean Ann Lewis, who later changed her stage name to Eve Brent, and went on to act in almost a hundred movies and television shows, and many hundreds of television commercials before she ended her acting career in a 2012 movie that was released after her passing in 2011. In this adventure about delinquent girls with guns she is Joy, a blonde secretary at the chemical company that helps two other gun-girls plan the payroll robbery. This movie was the final screen appearance for Jeanne Ferguson, who played the part of the leader of the gang Teddy . . . For some reason her acting talents only got her 5 parts in movies and television shows, and this one is her largest part . . . Go figure . . . Jacqueline Park, the brunette gun girl had an acting career that began with 'Red, Hot and Blue' in 1949 and didn't end until she had a bit part as a waitress in a 1961 television show . . . I think that this movie was also her biggest role. Of course, Tim Farrell, the king of exploitation 'B' movie leading men is in this adventure, and also the brother of a much more famous actor gets a decent part with a couple of nice close up shots in this one. Buster Keaton is a part of Hollywood legend, but his younger brother Harry only acted in a couple dozen motion, and in this story he is Tim Farrell's henchman Luke. Whether you watch to see how many items you can make fun of, or watch for the beautiful cars and girls with guns . . . It's time to pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
