The One that Got Away . . . Almost

The Wild Women of Bowanga Bowanga motion picture is waaaaaaay ahead of its time . . . in fact it is still just a tiny bit ahead of its time, in my humble opinion, but the day may not be far off. Deep in the jungles of Africa there is a tribe of light skinned natives ruled by Queen Bonga Bonga. In this legendary tribe the men are the housekeepers who cook, wash the clothes and do the other tedious manual labor, while the women are the hunters and warriors who rule their part of the jungle. Three big game hunters go in search of the legendary tribe of wild women laughing and imagining that they will tame these wild women and have their way with them, but as they approach the edge of the Bowanga Bowanga territory their African guides show much more intelligence than our big game hunters . . . They flee back into the safety of their part of the jungle where they only need to watch out for lions and big snakes, leaving our three men on their own against the wild women of the jungle. The men are soon captured by the wild women warriors and they are at first excited to be 'manhandled' by the jungle sirens, but soon learn that their fate may be death . . . or worse! Queen Bonga Bonga has decided that one of them will be her husband, and the other two will be sacrificed to the fire god. Each man must fight the Queen's mightiest woman warrior . . . If the man can beat the woman warrior he will marry the Queen, but if the woman warrior beats the man . . . He will be sacrificed to the fire god! Now, when I think about the choices long and hard, I decide that there will be no winners in this deal . . . ahhhh . . . . But that is my mistake . . . . Thinking logically about the story line is not the best way to enjoy this movie. This is a perfect movie to watch after a difficult and mind-numbing day . . . You definitely do not want to over think this story . . . Put your brain on pause, pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and just enjoy the Wild Women of Bowanga and the men they lust after.
