This epic tale of David and Goliath tells the story of Israel from David's youth through the great battle when the Philistines used their giant named Goliath, and no one except David was even willing to face the monster. The filming was done near Rome, Italy, and the production is Italian. This copy was dubbed into English and was released in the U.S. a year after premiering in Italy. The dialogue is in 'King James English,' and although this might slow you down a bit in the understanding, the plot is a good one and will keep you enchanted until the end. The producers introduced several side stories and characters that are not mentioned in the Bible, but the overall storyline is very accurate. There is no more pleasant way to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon than to pop some corn and sit back and relax as you watch an adventure out of the history of the Bible like this one. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with warm melted butter on it and enjoy the show.
