2 Guys + 1 Girl = Big Trouble

1960 was a few years too early for the 'flower power love, sex, rock 'n roll' swinging 60's, and too late for the gritty street crimes with actors like Edward G. Robinson and Humphrey Bogart, but just right for the first Baby-Boomers coming of age. World War II was over long ago and young men and women were occupied by hot rods and that new wild and crazy music and dance craze called Rock 'n Roll. But in any age there are constants - boys will always chase the pretty girls, and when two boys want Sue, the drama will be the same as it has been since the cave man days, and still is today . . . Big Trouble is on the way . . . But 1960 America was a unique time that didn't last long, and if you were a fan of the Happy Days television show you know the scene. As our story opens Danny and Sue, along with their friends Frieda and Slats, are heading for the local dance hall, as one of the guys wants the group to hurry up because the worm wants to squirm . . . All righty! . . . We all know what is on the minds of teenage boys in 1960 . . . Dancing to the songs of Reggie Perkins and Johnny Faire . . . Yeah, that's it. Anywho, if you dig it, like the kids did in 1960, rock and roll to the juke box music with a cold Coca Cola and your girlfriend is the way you want to spend Friday night . . . But Danny and Sue are in for a surprise, because Brad is back in town, and he wants Sue, and is ready to pull out his switchblade knife and fight Danny for the love of Sue. Now, Brad is a bad boy, selling dope with his older brother Nico, and Danny is in for the beating of his life with a big shiner to show for it. Besides fighting Brad for the hand of Sue, Danny is also in trouble with Sue's father, who thinks that Danny isn't good enough for her, and forbids Sue to see him again. It doesn't look good for Danny and Sue . . . but Sue wants to solve the dilemma by running away with Danny and getting married in Vegas . . . So we get to see beautiful downtown Vegas in 1960, with all the historic downtown casinos as Danny and Sue lie about their ages and tie the knot. Of course, this only provides for more trouble as Sue's father promises to put Danny in jail for taking an underage girl across state lines to get married . . . and bad boy Brad still wants Sue in the worst way . . . and before this adventure winds up there will be a final conflict that will mean death for one of the 1960 teenagers. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it, put on your Bobby Socks and Poodle Skirt and enjoy the show.
