Focused Vengeance, Hate . . . and the Evil Queen

So I'm watching this knights in battle adventure and thinking it is a good story, but just one of many, until the plot turned so unexpectedly that I came to full attention and sat in awe of the plot. Let me get you up to speed so that you don't stop watching before the plot really blooms. We are not in Merry England with our knights, swordsmen, Kings and Queens, but rather in Poland, with a full cast of Italian actors . . . and one French beauty. How cool! I tried to explain the basic plot but it is so complicated to explain that I confused myself as I wrote it, so instead of trying to explain the framework of a very complex plot, I will jump to the center of the story. The lands of Krakow have a King and his princess daughter, but no son as heir. There are two brave princes in the land, Prince Andrea, a blonde haired good-guy played by Mel Ferrer, and his brother, Prince Sergé, a dark haired prince dressed in black, with his army of black lancers. Both brothers would like to become the next King and the leader of all the armies. Their enemy is the land of Kiev, and they have killed the King and forced the people into poverty, but there remains a young princess, daughter of the dead King, who rules her people. This leads to that, and we discover that the black prince Sergé has visited the enemy Queen, and while he is with her he discovers that back home his brother, the blonde prince, has been declared head of the armies and next in line for the throne. Instead of being happy for his brother, the black prince and his lancers join forces with the enemy Queen to attack his brother and his own country. The black prince and his lancers will betray their own country in search of the power that he lusts after, and will join his country's enemy to attack his own brother and his own country! In one scene Prince Sergé will have the tip of his sword at the throat of his brother, Prince Andrea, ready to kill his own brother to gain the power that he wants to badly. Does the end justify the means? Does pure hate have any limits? Can any deed be acceptable when in search of pure power? Is all fair in love and war? Could You Kill Your Brother? Will Sergé Kill His Brother? Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
