Crazy, Man . . . Just Plain Crazy!
In the 1930's and 1940's movies were filled with tough guys . . . both gangsters and coppers . . . then came World War II and combat heroes were the characters that filled the movie theater seats. After the war the baby-boom generation was born, and by the 1960's we were ruling the world like no generation before or since. We were rebels, we were contrarians, we were wild ones charging full tilt into the future, come what may. This crime thriller mixes an old familiar story with characters from the hip, can you dig it, wild hot rod days of muscle cars and crazy dudes. A man who robbed and hid $240,000 in the desert is getting out of prison today, and a hot rod gang of wild teens will chase him and his girl into the desert in search of the loot. After a wild game of chicken in the desert one of the hoodlums is dead, but the ex-con also gets killed, and now we have the rest of the hoodlums holding the ex-con's girlfriend as a hostage and the search for the missing money is on . . . maybe she can find the loot for the hoodlums and maybe she can't guess where he would hid it . . . if the girlfriend cannot help them it will be bad news for her. With jeeps and a hot rod the chase is on, and not everyone will survive the perils of the desert . . . and in the desert pretty girlfriend Hazel, played by actress Francine York, knows how to survive better than all the hot-rod hoodlums from the city . . . so a gang of teen toughs against one spunky girl makes it just about even odds. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with a ton of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
