Sorry about your wedding night . . .
"Why didn't ya kill me after the wedding like you promised?"
"Because I wanted to see ya suffer!"
Italian motion picture producers took their love of the American West and the many cowboy western movies from our past and raised it to a new level in what has become fondly known as the 'Spaghetti Western.' In this adventure wandering drifter Hiram Coburn, played by Bud Spencer, is about to be hung for horse stealing, but a little boy and his Uncle come upon the impromptu hanging and prevent Coburn from being hung. Passing nearby is sharp-shooter gunman Sonny Bronston, played by tough guy Jack Palance, who is driving a wagon full of pretty girls that he pimps to the local towns that he passes through. It seems that gunman Bronston wants to shoot and kill Coburn because he got his sister Mary in the family way. This leads to that, and drifter Coburn is saddled with young boy Chip and will escort him to the small town where he inherited a broken down ranch. Fast Forward a few gun fights and fist fights and we see Sonny hot on Coburn's trail with his wagon full of dance hall girls . . . Sonny's sister Mary wanting to marry Coburn even more than her brother Sonny wants to kill him . . . and all of the townsmen wanting to kill Coburn to get him and the boy off of the broken down ranch . . . oh . . . did I mention the man who eats dirt? . . . Yup . . . he will pay townsfolk $2 for each bucket of dirt that they bring him . . . he especially enjoys the dirt from the broken down ranch that the young boy has inherited. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and discover the mystery of the man who eats dirt.
