The Irresistible Hypnotic Gigolo Lover with a Headache

Which is stronger, the power of the greatest hypnotist in the world or the power of young love? Now, don’t answer too quickly, because it is not as simple a thing as a bumper sticker slogan that might come to mind. The love triangle in this mesmerizing story includes the legendary actor John Barrymore, young and beautiful actress Marian Marsh, and British actor Bramwell Fletcher.

As our adventure opens we meet Svengali, a music teacher in search of someone to bring him the wealth that he desires. He is what might be called a male gold-digging gigolo.  When a woman arrives for her music lesson, she informs Svengali that she has left her husband, and Svengali immediately asks her if she left her husband, how much did he leave her?

The lady tells Svengali that she threw the money back at her husband. She proclaims that she wants only Svengali, and her husband’s money is of no concern. A distraught Svengali stares into the eyes of the lady, and she squirms a bit and asks him to stop looking at her with those eyes. The lady is later found dead on the shores of the Seine.

This leads to that and hypnotist Svengali meets a mesmerizing young lady who poses nude for artists, and while she will fall in love with a young artist, Svengali will fall in love with her. One day when the young girl complains of a terrible headache, Svengali hypnotizes her and when she awakes he claims to have taken her headache and placed it in his heart, giving him great pain in his heart in place of the pain in her head.

But the great Svengali has done more than take away her headache. He has hypnotized the young girl into loving him and obeying his every command. Which is stronger, the power of the greatest hypnotist in the world or the power of young love? Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
