The Perfect Murder

Our terrifying day begins on a quiet neighborhood street in front of the beautiful little home of Ellen and George Jones. George is in bed with a bad heart, and must rest until his heart gets stronger. George was a pilot during World War II who swept Ellen off her feet and now that the war is over they live on this quiet, little street.

We soon learn that George is a bit paranoid. . . . . He thinks that his wife and his doctor are trying to kill him. George is convinced that his doctor and his wife are in love with each other, and George had decided that he will ruin that love affair in a grand way.

George has decided that he will send a letter to the District Attorney explaining that his doctor and his wife are going to kill him, and he is arranging evidence and witnesses to back up that claim. Then George will shoot his wife and kill her, claiming self-defense. He will convince everyone that she was trying to kill him this fine day and he had to defend himself.

Ellen gives the letter that will condemn her to the postman and returns to George’s bedroom, where he explains his plan to her and then pulls out a gun to shoot her. Terrified, Helen tries to escape, but George has locked the bedroom door. Ellen stands terrified, crying and staring in disbelief as George lifts his gun and aims it at his cowering wife. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with plenty of warm melted butter drizzled over it and enjoy the show.
