The Law of Contact

Privacy Statement for the web site:

The following discloses my information gathering and dissemination practices for this website.

Log Files:
As with most websites, my internet service provider automatically creates server log files. The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Shaw Cable), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Chrome), the time you visited my website and which pages you visited while at my website. Nothing is collected in these logs that can personally identify a visitor.

Advertising Cookies:
I occasionally sell quality third party advertisements to help support the website.  Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on my site, which will send these advertisers information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed.  This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing Chicago restaurant ads to someone in the Chicago area, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing home repair ads to someone who frequents home repair websites).

If you send me an e-mail note or a contact form note, my email program will remember your name and address so that I can respond to your note when necessary. I will never give, sell, or trade your name and email address to anyone, period.

I had a newsletter mailing list that I used to share new additions and notes of interest to visitors who opted in to the list. Because of changing and sometimes difficult to interpret new laws in Europe, I have discontinued that list, to insure your privacy and your right not to be swamped with possibly unwanted notes.
